I'm very frustrated about that. Ubuntu is "free software and comes with no warranty", I understand... I'm not pretending this bug to be resolved immediatly, but at least it should be marked as CRITICAL or HIGH because it makes Ubuntu *unusable* on LDAP-authenticated networks!
