Thank you for this extra information. This allowed to narrow down the bug you experienced to a simplified, shorter bug scenario.

I was suspecting that this may not be the same bug.

The bug discussed here only happens when the user is already logged in.

May I suggest that you open a new bug report with details of a minimal reproducible case?
