Comment 92 for bug 215802

This problem still is around :(. I have tried Kubuntu 15.04/15.10 and Netrunner 16 and the RTL8187 card is alive and finds the router (and internet) right after login. But a few seconds later the connection is dead although the network manager applet, iwconfig and my router's clients list still show the connection as being alive and good. But no ping to the router is possible anymore.

The card is identified by lsusb as Bus 001 Device 002: ID 0bda:8187 Realtek Semiconductor Corp. RTL8187 Wireless Adapter & lsmod shows two modules used by rtl8187: mac80211 and cfg80211 (Kernel 3.19).
