If I try to play the same file from the command line with Totem (xine):

the command line says:

 totem /media/hdc5/alberto/Shared/"DragonBall Z - Movie 14 - History of Trunks.avi"

But the gui says:

Totem could not play 'file:///media/hdc5/alberto/Shared/DragonBall Z - Movie 14 - History of Trunks.avi'.

Video codec 'MS MPEG-4 V3 (win32)' is not handled. You might need to install additional plugins to be able to play some types of movies
