I managed to build a patched package for intrepid (actually, it was easy).
You can get it from my PPA: https://launchpad.net/~niflostancu/+archive/ppa
I used the patch from http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=171655 (Rewritten patch)
