I use VPN and no problem at all with resolving DNS using the default install of Ubuntu 7.10, NetworkManager, NM OpenVPN plugin, OpenVPN. Installed 4 days ago. Go figure.

Kyle, if you would kindly read what I wrote: "...probably because it is not really a problem to most people, because they need not use a VPN...".
