I did some more testing and now I can reproduce the problem. It's a kde-guidance-powermanager problem and occurs when "hibernate on lid close" is selected. Then after resuming and logging in to kde, the first thing powermanager does is to remark that the lid is closed and so triggers hibernation. The next time the comp resumes, everything is fine. Also when hibernating with the log-out dialog or the powermanager-menu, there are no problems, only when closing the lid to trigger hibernation. And it's surely not related to kde-laptop, I checked that with a fresh account. I hope this can be fixed before the edgy release
