@Dawid: Well, /usr/lib/psi/plugins/libgstprovider.so does belong to the package psimedia and not directly to psi. Hence my *guess* so far is that we are talking about the same issue, but in a different package. See bug #562067.

(A bug which I will take a closer look at tonight, when I'm not at work.)
