The same problem occurs on another system (64bit, tested with intrepid (kde 4.2.1) and jaunty).

A build from svn revision 2409 of rkward includes the editor window again. I just noticed that the editor window appears only, when a skript file is created/opened. This is not possible in the version shipping with ubuntu due to lacking menu entries/icons (e.g. 'File -> New' is missing).
