As mentioned above, only spinboxes with real numers inside reveal this bug, so there could be something wrong with the decimal seperator in spin boxes. QSpinBox does not allow to handle real numbers, therefore scribus has its own implementation 'MSpinBox' in mspinbox.cpp. I assume that something within this function does not like ubuntu's patches in qt-x11-free/libqt-mt.

For me, setting LANG to something different than de_DE.UTF-8 solves the problem, but I still hope that the bug will be fixed.
