I can confirm here.

I use sshfs to mount my remote folder and if I listen to a small movie file, the movie lock sometime. The network continue to work (firefox, pidgin, etc) and I can do a ssh to my server but the sshfs mount is lock. After a short while, the lock dissapear and the movie restart to play...
