In Ubuntu 11.10 sshfs locks up, for example when the remote end drops off. "fusermount -u /path/to/mount" has no effect
When this happens, I cannot browse the directory where the mount folder is - it just hangs. If I am in a terminal, I have to forcefully close the terminal.
searching with "ps -e | grep sshfs" shows an orphaned process. If I kill it, I can use sshfs again and browse folders again.

I have no realtek hardware on my computer. It happens over USB networking.
