No, blanks are included. After point 3 in my description I get a paragraph that looks something like:

xxx xxx xxx xxx xxx xxx xxx xxx xxx xxx xxx xxx
xxx
xxx xxx xxx xxx xxx xxx

The second line is not properly filled.
