Comment 3 for bug 462005

I also had this problem, I followed advice on a comment for another bug and opened a terminal and typed "sudo apt-get remove ubiquity-slideshow-ubuntu" It didn't seem to skip anything when I pressed "skip" but was able to install successfully.
