Was able to boot Kubuntu from 10.4.1 candidate when using a CD on Win 7.
- downloaded image
- burned CD
- eject/re-insert CD
- execute WUBI from CD
- select install under Win 7.
   ---> it then had to remove Ubuntu 10.4.1 image already installed, sucess.
- images copied over.
- reboot, and two boot level selections needed.
- installation proceeded normally
- booted into Kubuntu and logged in.

What was different?
