Oh sure Colin, we discussed that around maverick release cycle and I agree with you. :)
What do you think about adding the keyboard indicator (it's there for natty IIRC) by default in the ubiquity session with a default selection based on language, as for gfxboot does? Not sure the timeframe will enable that though, but maybe for Oneiric?
