"I have this also, halfway during the boot, my screenresolution changes or something, because i see at the top of my screen the normal ubuntu logo, but at the bottom of the screen, I can see the half of the upper part. It's hard to describe, but I guess it has something to do with gdm starting and messing up the usplash screenmodes..."
