  I didn't get this build failure, also I've uploaded vlc to my PPA
  (https://launchpad.net/~aelmahmoudy/+archive/ppa), and so far it built
  for amd64 arch without any failure. Builds for lpia & i386 are still
  pending at the time of writing this email.
