@Laurence Aronberg. I don't know when, but this bug is still presenting in the most recently kernel.
I'm using

    Linux angel-Aspire-5720Z 3.1.0-0301rc2-generic

and I still have the same bug, as I said in #39 using and old kernel fix the problem
