I'm a business science student at the University of Cape Town. I'm planning to do my honours levels in computer science or statistics - or both! I love free software - I've been using it since 2003, at first it was because I got fed up with Windows and how often it crashed and locked up, but after a while I really came to love the community aspect of free software.

My interests involve mainly free software, free culture (ie. creative commons) and music. I'm a committed Kubuntu user - I just can't get enough of KDE, though I guess I should give GNOME a try sometime soon since I haven't used it properly since 2005.

I have great plans as to how I want to get involved in the free software community, but am extremely limited by time. One of the first projects I want to get working on at the end of this semester is kmobiletools, since I think it's a really promising project that could work wonders if it got some work done on it.

Oh, and I have a blog - just my observation, thought and tips and tricks on free software and culture.
