apt autoremove monthly
PPA description
A very simple package that runs "apt autoremove" every month.
Runs apt autoremove every month to save space in /boot
This package is a dirty workaround for issues with /boot getting filled by old kernels.
It happens when /boot is in a separate partition (LVM or encrypted installation).
On Ubuntu>=16.04, unattended-upgrades automatically marks old kernels as removable and should remove them.
But, depending on if the user installs some updates, it can be not enough to save space before /boot is full.
See https:/
Running apt autoremove every month is usually enough to workaround this issue, as most people don't use removable packages.
