PPA description

If you want to use the packages from this PPA you can either install them on Ubuntu 9.10 karmic or you can use our brand-new easy-to-install VDR distribution yaVDR (see http://www.yavdr.org for further information). yaVDR uses exactly these packages and also includes XBMC-pvr-testing2.

If you need the package "dvb-s2api-liplianin-dkms" on a standard Ubuntu installation, install the package "dkms" from this PPA first. Otherwise, not all kernel modules contained in "dvb-s2api-liplianin-dkms" will be installed which will lead to problems.

Adding this PPA to your system

You can update your system with unsupported packages from this untrusted PPA by adding ppa:the-vdr-team/vdr-ubuntu-karmic to your system's Software Sources. (Read about installing) 

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:the-vdr-team/vdr-ubuntu-karmic
sudo apt update
