ProsePoint version 0.07 has been released

Written for ProsePoint by bengtan on 2008-11-03

ProsePoint version 0.07 has been released with one major new feature set.

Channels functionality has been totally rewritten. A channel now has two modes of operation:

   1. Story list - A time-based listing of stories with the most recent stories appearing first, or
   2. Scheduled editions - A set of editions with scheduling in the same way as previous versions of ProsePoint.

The first mode is essentially a blog format, while the second mode allows for greater control of content and layout (but obviously involves more editing work). You can change the channel mode at any time.

Channels are implemented as hierarchical categories, so channel-subchannel relationships can be created. This also paves the way for future features such as related stories, tag clouds, and other stuff.

The Channels Manager has been removed and replaced by a list of the channel hierarchy.

There are a few other minor changes as well. These are noted in the changelog.

We're not looking to customize your computer, nor are we even suggesting applications you might like. We're simply providing functionality that the default installation of Ubuntu lacks.
