the new recommend_me call includes a uuid and the server doesn't like uuids with dashes in them, therefore remove the dashes from the uuid when we create one and also handle the case where a user has an old opt-in uuid with dashes; finally, revert the change to the regex value in the sreclient as it's correct after all
