I'm assuming the issue is related to Compiz, but I'm not 100% sure. When I'm switching workspaces, it occasionally locks up (becoming more frequent). It should look for a FAT32 partition (with a boot flag), AKA an EFI partition, mount it, and check for any EFI files. If efi-exists, then un-mount it, install grub-efi in the target system, and add a line in FStab for the efi-partition. If no efi files are found, or if there is no EFI partition, install grub-pc.

Bootstrap worked fine from juju client running on arm64 server. We need to have juju client to support arm64 on amd64 machines. I gave ashley some steps to try as I work in this sort of environment daily. Also suggested she launch a new container install juju & configure to ensure she is working in a clean environment.

Jeff, Please find attached the lpfc patches that update Broadcom Emulex FC HBA lpfc driver to 14.2.0.5 for Ubuntu 22.04. There are 97 patches in the tar file (96 lpfc patches + nvme-fc transport patch for dependency resolution). I have also added upstream_ commitids. log file that mentions all the upstream commit ids.

Running on i386, dell latitude e7450 with ssd and ubuntu22.04.1, kernel 5.15.0-48 generic, x86. After booting, I get the mtd device must be supplied etc etc error, and I am left with a terminal only version. I have an important hint: as suggested above, it's a problem with some authentication stuff.
