If so, take a you look at. Preferences | Folders | Homebank files. and you should see two folders where Homebank stores its current and backup files. Alternatively, 'Restore backup' from the File menu should show you your most recent backups, the last five by default. I don't use Windows but I doubt Homebank stores account data anywhere else.

#1. HomeBnak always backup your file to the same directory it is saved, adding a ~ at the end of the file. So you have one generaiton of backup file. There is nothing you can configure into homebank to directly backup, anyway this is a good idea.

Asked by Bojan Trajkovski on 2023-12-31. Hi, I'm a new user with Homebank. I'm using version 5.7.3 and I'm struggling finding information for what I need. With credit card transactions I sometimes have refunds and I'm trying to find the correct way to process the refunds.

Having a look at the homebank code and the data structure : - Currency is defined per account. - Currency have a single defined exchange rate. Refreshing it will automatically re-calculate all amounts. - Transaction do not have a currency but are linked to an account that does.

If you have for any reason unchecked that option. Then the categories will be empty but you can also import a category list from a csv file. 1. Open the Categories Dialog box from the Menu of "Manage" from the toolbar. 2. On the top hand right corner of the dialog box you should see three "..." Dots. You can find the Import from CSV option there.
