  • qBittorrent <= v1.3.x uses the same port for TCP and UDP. Default port is 6881 but it can be changed in program preferences. Usually it is sufficient to redirect on your router this port (for both protocol) to your computer. Now, you said that you opened outgoing UDP on your computer. So I guess this means you are also using a firewall locally.
  • I downloaded a number of .torrents and they were listed on the download page in various stages of being downloaded, paused and waiting to be downloaded. The upload tab listed a number of files available for upload. I closed the application and restarted it sometime later. There are now no files listed in the tabs. The .qbittorrent/BT_backup directory has many files with the following format ...
  • I'm not even sure I'll work on this. qBittorrent is basically a GUI for libtorrent. Libtorrent already provides a CLI client. nope1111 (nope1111-deactivatedaccount) said on 2008-10-30: #4: Christophe, Are you saying that libtorrent terminal commands would work with qBittorrent?
  • I used qbittorrent for a while some months ago but had a problem with my hard drive. i saved the partially downloaded torrent files from the qBT_dir. Then after i had re-installed Ubuntu and qbittorrent, I was left with all the previously, part downloaded files, that I had saved. Please is there a way of putting these back into Qbittorrent without having to search for and start them all from new?
  • Restart qBittorrent. Christophe Dumez (hydr0g3n) said on 2010-01-28: #2: Disabling and re-enabling Web UI from program preferences could work too (I did not test though). This is only feasible if you are not using NOX version though. mcnally (singintampa) said on 2010-02-08: #3: Thank you, that resolved it. ...

  • Hello, I recently switched from uTorrent to qBittorrent for several reasons, but I am finding myself missing features from uTorrent - such as remote access from any pc, at present I seem to only be able to do this on an internal network.
  • I have Linux/Ubuntu installed on my computer. I sometimes use qbittorrent with a VPN connection (Linkideo.com) in order to connect to the Internet through a proxy and make my IP address anonymous, If the VPN connection went down, though, qbittorrent would still be running, and my IP address would no longer be anonymous. With Windows, there's a neat little program called VPNetMon that will ...
  • Thanks for the feedback. qBittorrent is usually quite stable but qBittorrent v2 brought so many changes that new bugs were impossible to avoid. Features such as torrent renaming are new and thus more likely to have bugs. However, as long as users keep reporting bugs, qBittorrent v2 will become extremely stable (if not already). ...
  • Hi, I have configured the keep incomplete downloads in /temp directory option. The first time I download a file, lets say ubuntu.iso it gets downloaded at /temp/ubunto.iso but when I stop qbittorrent and start it again all the progress is lost and the file is downloaded at /temp/ubuntu/ ubuntu. iso I am using qbittorretn 2.4.0 and ubuntu maverick.
  • I am running qbittorrent-nox v.2.1.6-1 (the debian-testing source package, compiled on debian stable), because I couldn't get 2.2.1 to run stably. For reference, I am using libboost 1.35 (from debian stable) and libtorrent 0.14.9 (compiled). The release seems very stable, but since I do not have the X interface, I do not have access to the logs... or to a way to set the DHT port to something ...
