Bug Description

If I turn on Visual Alerts under System Settings / Universal Access in the Hearing tab, the "Flash the window title" option only works if the window is not maximized, and the "Flash the entire screen" option does not work at all. I am using Unity 2D under 12.04.

With Unity 3D, neither "Flash the window title" nor "Flash the entire screen" works.

Since the change to 3D it appears none of the visual alerts work properly in quantal.

Setting importance to High since it "impacts accessibility of a core application".

Adding a Unity task. If we can't get Unity to support this, we should at least hide the Hearing tab in System Settings>Universal Access.

Can confirm on my Ubuntu 13.04 x64 installation that none of the accessibility features except Orca work. Zoom/Visual alerts do not work. These features did work on Ubuntu Gnome 13.04 x64, so it seems to be somewhere linked to Unity. Please fix this bug as early as you can. Thanks in advance guys! Really awesome work you guys do and kindly bear with us when we demand/insist bug fixes without taking into account that you guys have lives of your own and are busy with engagements of your own. :)

This is not really an issue with gnome-control-center. It is up to the desktop environment to support this feature and GNOME Shell supports it.
