Thanks for your bug report. The crash looks like a memory corruption. Could you try to get a valgrind log for it (you can follow the instructions from https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Valgrind for that)?

There is my second bug (another one is 91785) with post "...The crash looks like a memory corruption..." from you and I can't reproduce this crashes. So you can close this bugs. FYI: No one program except gnome-panel didn't crash with memory corruption.

The corruption is due to the gnome-panel code, not to the computer. That's a known bug, that's not easy to get a debug log for it though because it happens randomnly. Closing the bug for now, feel free to reopen if you get a valgrind log
