Bug Description

this was on a pandaboard ES using the 24 july OMAP4 armhf image. if you try to set up a new partition table ubi-partman fails with error 141. if you try to create a partition in the existing free space it says ubi-partman failed because /dev/cdrom cannot be unmounted. i apologize i do not have the requested files as i had to file this from my laptop. i can submit some pictures of the screen if you feel that is necessary. please let me know if i can provide any further information. thank you.

no, using the 3-Aug-2012 image it fails with:

the installer needs to commit changes to partition tables but cannot do so because partitions on the following mount point could not be unmounted:
/cdrom
please close any applications using these mount points.

please close this bug as i was unaware i had to install to a usb drive. they helped me get this all straightened out on the ubuntu-arm channel on freenode. thanks to all. the pandaboard wiki needs revision however, hopefully no one else will make this mistake.

Well, it is still a bug. We need to find a way to either fix installation to the source device or block it from showing as an install tsrget...(and indeed there is the wiki to be fixed too).
