Bug Description
Binary package hint: gnome-screensaver
I am running Ubuntu Edgy (fully updated with all updates). I have an ATI Radeon 7500 All in Wonder on an Asus A7V motherboard with 512Meg RAM, 2 80Gb hard disks, and a 1.0 Ghz chip (AMD Athlon).
To recreate this bug is simple...
Enable power management to turn off the screen, for simplicity set it to like 5 minutes.
Enable screen saver /w lockout to any saver, set it to 4 minutes.
Then wait.
When the screen blanks (and actually turns off) wake up computer by moving the mouse, enter your password and return to your desktop.
Then, repeat waiting for the saver, but the saver never comes on, it just blanks the screen.
This does NOT happen when power management is disabled.
Thank you for your bug. Could you try on Ubuntu 7.04? That looks like http:// bugzilla. gnome.org/ show_bug. cgi?id= 355279 which has been fixed with the new version
