Bug Description
Binary package hint: rhythmbox
it has happened 2-3 times the last few weeks, but I have not used rhythmbox frequently so it might be a more common problem than I experience.
To reproduce:
- Put Rythmbox volume control on high volume
- Put the panel volume control on low volume
- Play MP3 music using shuffel and repeat for a long time
At some occationas Rhythmbox disregards the panel volume setting and the wakes up the whole building by just looking at the Rhythmbox volume setting which is set to high volume. Sliding the panel volume control does not affect the volume in the speakers while the Rhythmbox volume slider does. Just stepping to the next song restores the normal behaviour where both sliders are regarded together. I use Edgy on x86

Thank you for your bug. Would be interesting to know if that still happens with 7.04
