Bug Description

To improve the user experience, I suggest the following changes in the default keyboard shortcuts :
- CTRL+ALT+L for locking the screen
- CTRL+ALT+DEL for firing the shutdown menu

These improvements will add better consistancy between the different DEs and also more comfort from Windows users. Myself, I use Xubuntu on my netbook and Ubuntu on my main machine and find the different shortcut for locking the screen between the two rather confusing and unecessary.

add a ctrl+alt+l shortcut to lock screen

using libxfce4ui 4.11.0-4
Manjaro distribution.

We already have the Ctrl+Alt+Del shortcut to lock the screen.

I Gnome/KDE, the default shortcut is Ctrl+Alt+L

Is it possible to add this shortcut to the default XFCE shortcuts ?

Here is a patch in /etc/xdg/xfce4/xfconf/xfce-perchannel-xml/xfce4-keyboard-shortcuts.xml that should do the trick.

Thanks in advance,
Marc

Fixed in the package libxfce4ui (4.11.2-0ubuntu1) vivid

Ctrl+Alt+L has been added.

We will not be changing the Ctrl+Alt+Del shortcut that has been used in Xubuntu quite a long time.

Thanks!

Ctrl+Alt+L and Ctrl+Alt+Del both run xflock4.

We'll not be changing Ctrl+Alt+Del.
