Wrong keyboard map for English

Bug Description

During some time now, while using Feisty I got this bug (not present in Edgy) with the "\" key in my English mapped keyboard.
The keyboard indicator on my panel tells me my current layout is English (I have Spanish also), and showing my current layout reflects my actual keyboard correctly (Dell Inspiron 9300). The "\" key (right above the Enter key), will print "ç" instead of the expected "\" char.
Again, this is a new bug in feisty since I don't have problems on my Edgy box.

I just upgraded my edgy box and the problem now happens on it as well.

Just wanted to add that doing a fresh install corrects the problem.
