window in evolution does not adapt to screen size

Binary package hint: evolution

i use my screen in portrait format and it is somewhat smaller than a regular screen. evolution does not adapt to this screen size and opens a window which extends further to the right than what i can see.

it seems that this is the smalest window that evoluation allows - this is too large for a 1024 by 768 (portrait - i.e. the width is 768 only, minus one ribbon).
