Bug Description

When I install nvidia-glx in Feisty, GDM fails to start after reboot. My graphics card is GeForce 8800 GTS. I tried before and after this latest update:

nvidia-glx 1.0.9755+2.6.20.4-14.15

I tried the installation both with the restricted drivers manager and through synaptic. The latter I finished by doing "sudo nvidia-glx-config enable". In xorg.conf in the section "Device" the value "driver" was set to "nvidia" after installation.

i installed 1.0.9755 from Nvidia web site a few weeks ago, and it worked normally then.

There seems to be no way to include an attachment to this report where I'm writing it (!), so I send the report first and try to send the log file Xorg.0.log later (the file is so large I hesitate to paste the content into the message).
