Bug Description

Binary package hint: network-manager

In edgy the steps I took to get internet working was this :
1) Install linux-wlan-ng
2)physically reconnect usb device(WUSB11 v3)
3)Go to System->Adminstration->network click configure wlan0 and entered all my info then I enabled and the connection worked

in fiesty beta I found that when I followed these steps it considered wlan0 a wired device in network-admin . Then I ran sudo wlanctl-ng wlan0 lnxreq_enable enable=true , making wlan0 appear as wireless device.

I entered all the data then I connected to the internet. However when I physically disconnected and reconnected the device it turns on for a moment, but then it turns off. I uninstalled network-manager and the latter issue was fixed, I will have to test the first issue more with the live-cd, it might not be the same bug, but I think it is.

network-manager doesn't touch any interface configured in /etc/network/interfaces anymore. If you still have issues in latest gutsy network-manager, please reopen this bug.
