This bug also happens in Kubuntu 12.10. If I start Firefox from a terminal, when I click [Open Directory] the terminal shows
** (firefox:22720): WARNING **: Cannot launch default application: No application is registered as handling this file
But in my desktop I do have a default application set for "File Manager", and I have a file type association for inode/directory. And `xdg-open file:///tmp/` opens my preferred file manager.
The relevant Firefox code is function openProfileDire ctory() in https:/ /mxr.mozilla. org/mozilla- central/ source/ toolkit/ content/ aboutSupport. js#373 , but I can't figure out whta happens after that.
