pick a bunch of stuff to feisty install = error

Bug Description

netboot the installer, public repos,
I pick
Apr 5 12:56:56 debconf: <-- 0 Edubuntu server, Kubuntu desktop, Ubuntu desktop,
Xubuntu desktop

and after a lots of installing:

"An installation step failed. you can try again..."

I looked for the real error.. can't find it.

Is this symptom still reproducible in 8.10 beta?
