Bug Description

hi there!

Keeping in mind that 12.04 is a LTS we'd like to ask to have Oxygen-cursor-theme + Oxygen-cursor-theme-extra beeing available in Quantal after a patient waiting for a period of 2 years beeing SRU-backported to the pixelprecise Pangolin.

One of the greatest advantages is finally various cursor sizes.

Anotherone is accessability of additional cursor themes via the extra-package.

This bug reaches back a long time as mentioned.

Builds in precise without changes.
Buildlogs: https://launchpad.net/~yofel/+archive/staging/+sourcepub/2621185/+listing-archive-extra

Thanks so far for helping to make Kubuntu better every day!

The impacts were also reported on bugs.kde.org:
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=304263 (resolved upstream)

Taking the last change of this package dated 6.8.2012 into account
fixing this in the official backports has the potential to close a few package associated bugs

When will this land in LTS ? I've backported it manually on my machine and it works nicely.

If Kubuntu 12.04 is a true and honest LTS this bugfix should land, as it fixed upstream.

No need to mention OpenSuse KDE here, it's fixed there a longtime

Seriously.

If I would want 2 have a rolling release there are other choices too. This makes me sad.

Seems to be fixed in P+1 and P+2 ? Only Precise doesn't get the fix. :-(
