calling the osd-client every 10 secs if news on my rss channel. getting multiple crashes if used so often (crash 1)

Binary package hint: gnome-osd

just call osd-client often enough on feisty reproduces the problem for me. Not every call crashes. Dont know what is different in the crashed ones...

I can only conclude that this is a user error: you are passing two command-line parameters instead of one to gnome-osd-client. The script that calls gnome-osd-client is not performing quoting very well...
