Bug Description

At the GDM login screen (the first place you login on a GUI system), the first character I type does not show up in the user name box. Everything after the first character will get entered and I don't notice any other keyboard problems after that point. My keyboard works perfectly prior to this screen (i.e. seeing boot/POST details by pressing TAB). It is connected via PS/2. I am using the English US locale. I did not have this problem on Edgy, although I have only used Feisty lately. Other users have reported the same problem on Edgy w/ latest updates AND Feisty.

It doesn't seem to happen for me with the gdm that loads after doing "sudo /etc/init.d/gdm restart". It seems to consistently happen with the first gdm, but consistently /not/ happen with subsequent gdms.
