Binary package hint: nano

Using feisty and nano 2.0.2, text wrapping doesn't seem to work. I don't know what other information to give.

Yes, it appears that nano operation is not influenced by any of the wrapping options, such as -w, -r, and the Meta-L operation while inside the editor. This also affects upstream, as I tested on 1.2.3 and 2.0.2 original sources. Maybe the nano guys know it is broken? Or maybe we just misunderstand the feature. It appears broken, but I may be wrong as to how it is expected to function.

If you open a new file and start typing the wrapping DOES work. It's only when you open an existent file that it doesn't. I don't know if that's by design or not. I can't imagine why they wouldn't want you to be able to wrap on existent files. Either way, it should be reported to them to see what they say.

Wrapping is disabled by default as of Jaunty, but it works for me if explicitly requested with ‘nano -r72’. I’m going to assume this was fixed. Please reopen if you still see a problem.
