Regression: Terratec Cinergy 1200 DVB-T Card is no more working in Kernels 2.6.20-13 and -14

Binary package hint: linux-image-2.6.20-14-generic

Although kernel finds and registers the frontend:

the device stopped working with kernel 2.6.20-13, still true with -14.

It's an older PCI card for terrestrial DVB which needs v4l ver.1. support. Silently dropped this in -13?

Worked without further configuration in dapper and edgy after firmware was put into place.
