Bug Description
Binary package hint: gaim
Starting up Gaim for the first time, I wanted to set my preferences so I tried setting a default font, if I could.
I tried changing the font face but it didn't seem to make a visible difference, so I tried changing it in a conversation. That didn't make a difference either.
I'm new to Gaim, but I expected it to do something more productive, like change the font. The colour changing icon works, but not the font changing.

I can partialy confirm this. using MSN protocol. After changing the default formating, under Tools / Preferences / Conversations , the change was not applied instantly - I needed to close the chat windows and reopen it. After that, the change was noticed by me and the other peer.
Changing underline, bold, color etc in chat window produced immediate effects both for me and the other peer. However, changing font was only apparent to me (maybe because the other peer was using Windows?).
