Bug Description

In the attempt for upgrading Ubuntu 10.04 to 12.04 encountered a fatal error regarding dovecot (Postfix).

Can you show the result of 'grep dovecot /etc/group'? That group is created when dovecot-common is installed - do you remember anything that could have deleted that group?
