Bug Description

Hello,

In Feisty, for a few weeks (after a daily update), the color-selected of “shortcuts” and "system" is different from that of the other entries, with gnome-color-chooser. I don't know if it's normal or not, but it is odd.
I specify that it appeared well after my configuration in gnome-color-chooser, following a daily update of Feisty. Before this update, all the colors were the same ones

Look at the capture in attachment, it is more eloquent :)

Do you know what has been updated? What theme do you use? Do you get anything to .xsession-errors when selecting the item? Does it happen with an another theme?

Unfortunately, I don't know precisely after which update it appeared, it was approximately three or four weeks ago... I think that was after a gnome-themes update before the 2.18 release.
But I didn't updated gnome-color-chooser since I use Feisty and two months ago, I haven't this little bug.

There is not .xsession-errors. I use Human theme but it happens with all themes : the color of theses 2 items is never the same one as that of the others.

The background-color is correct if in gnome-color-chooser I deselect [selected] for the background (tab panel), in my previous screenshot.
The arrow color is correct if I deselect hover for the foreground.

Perhaps it's just a bug in gnome-color-chooser which wouldn't compatible with gnome 2.18 but it's strange which only 2 items of the menu are affected...

Sorry for my english... :)

Could you make a screenshot of what you call "gnome-color-chooser", there is no such software on Ubuntu

Hi!
That's a GNOME bug: the one-part GNOME menue uses the three-part menue (apps, system, places) and its style options. It's unlikely to be fixed as a new GNOME menue is in work and will probably be released with GNOME 2.22. But if someone wants to hack in, a fix for 2.20.1 would be possible.

Best regards,
Jack ;-)

Is this symptom still reproducible in 8.10 beta?
