[Feisty] USB external Disk name appears twice on Desktop

Bug Description

Since I upgraded from Edgy Eft to Feisty Herd 4 the names of my external USB partitions appear twice on the desktop.

    EXTERNAL FAT32 (EXTERNAL FAT 32) > Automounted
    External NTFS (External NTFS) > Manually mounted to gain permission for reading it.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Can you try with latest Ubuntu release? Thanks in advance.

I've also noticed this whenever I leave my USB key in my work machine while logging in (under Feisty) but haven't noticed this behavior under Gutsy.
