I search the music lens for tracks I have and find nothing.

Dash home is also not finding my music, only "more suggestions" from the shops.

I was about to confirm this first, but then I realized I had already tried out the privacy function for filtering out remote results. Switching it back on brought back the results as well.

Hmm, worth investigating more, now noticed it was about tracks on computer - I have only two directly on this computer and they're being shown.

Alan: it seems to find music for me, although only after it has been indexed by Rhythmbox because the local scope uses Rhythmbox database similar to Photos lens using Shotwell database. Can you check that your music is indexed in Rhythmbox?

I rolled back to unity 6.6 (but still music lens 6.8) and tested and it worked so I know my music is indexed.

I rolled forward again using the ppa, and waited until disk activity calmed after logging in.
I then opened the music lens and typed "Blondie". The spinner span for a while then stopped. No results appeared. No spinning. The icon next to the search term is not a circle with a cross in, it's the search magnifying glass.

Daemons seem to be running.

Note that music-lens was 6.8 already, and now in the new stack bumped only to 6.8.1 to match better with the rest of the stack to avoid confusion in the future.

Putting back to New, even though I still can't reproduce it.
