restricted-manager adds AddARGBVisuals and stuff to wrong section

Bug Description

Binary package hint: restricted-manager

It seems to me that restricted-manager adds all these optiones like AddARGBVisuals to the Device section instead of the Screen section! nvidia-xconfig adds them to the Screen section so I guess thats the right place for them!

Section Device and Section Screen are both valid locations for these options.

Changed in restricted-manager:
status: Unconfirmed → Rejected

Well ok. But wouldn't it be more consistent to add it to the same section as nvidia does?

There isn't really a "standard" though as to which is preferred...

I don't think anything needs to be done as it currently works perfectly.

That's right, but if for some reason someone already has entries of nvida-xconfig in the screen section from an older setup and restricted-manager then adds them to the device section, you end up with doubled entries. (That's what has happened to me)

Unfortunately I'm away from my nvidia machine... however the duplicate entries don't have any adverse affects do they?

No they don't as far as I know, it just doesn't look that nice :)
